Course Description
This program focuses on the processes of internal auditing. We look at three (3) types of auditing: Process Auditing (HR files), Incident Auditing (Clinical area – resident safety) and an Environmental Audit – looking at staff safety

* What an audit is and why they are done
* The benefits of performing audits
* Potential problems or pitfalls with the audit process
* The audit process – what needs to be audited, planning and preparing for an audit, key principles in conducting an audit, reporting audit findings, follow up actions
