Course Description
Develop the skills required to obtain a thorough medical history and to conduct a cardiopulmonary assessment.
Please note: This course will be retiring from our library in 2021.
Learning Outcomes
After viewing this program participants should be able to:
* Outline how to obtain a comprehensive history before assessment
* Conduct a cardiopulmonary assessment including:
– preparing for the assessment including equipment, hand hygiene, positioning of the person, and preparing the environment
– inspection
– palpation
– auscultation
– percussion
– completion of the assessment including cleaning and replacing equipment, documentation and reporting of assessment findings
